Caught in the act

It seems I found time during the Sunshine "Fun" Run to ogle an unsuspecting spectator, when I should have been concentrating on the joyful act of putting one foot in front of another. Sadly for me, I was 'papped' doing this by the Evening Chronicle, who published this picture (I'm running on the right) on Thursday.

That really is me. I can tell by the much unimproved body shape, and the shoes. Half way down this page is official proof that I finished the run. I actually crossed the line at their 34'58". I made it 34'19", taking off the time it took me to reach the start line.

Really nothing has happened at all this week. I didn't run on Friday, but I did cycle in and out of work, which is utterly exhausting in a totally different way to running. Today, however I surpassed myself with a 48 minute long run up by Gosforth Race Course - a full 14 minutes longer than I've ever run before. I covered only 6.8 Sports-tracker-kilometres, so I was pacing myself very slowly for distance compared with the race on Wednesday.

In job news, I have three interviews coming up. I have booked train tickets to cover much of the country, and I will once again be going to London. Ian and I are hardly ever seeing each other at the moment.
